MsTag WITH QR: Why compete? Collaborate!
I am metformin side effects acne so surprised I got this to work. But, I wonder if this is a really big discovery I stumbled upon. Both work!
What started metformin hydrochloride tablets out as a joke, and an experimental hack of a technology brought me to a comment I hear often. You might think the question is “which is better”? But more often, what people discuss is ” So I need another reader?”
Code format Agnostic: A user really shouldn’t have to pick what reader to use. The fact that I had to integrate 2 types of codes so that “I” could satisfy both readers is a bit preposterous. I am not sure the consumer really cares, as long as it works. Although, I’m sure they find it annoying that they may need to install multiple readers just to experience the UX of 2d barcodes – which could leave a bad first impression of this technology. Hurting anyone and everyone on all sides of the equation.
Concluding thoughts of a rant: IF I have to go the extra mile to integrate two competing code formats, does it make more sense to have universal readers? Who does this effect and why? #economics #tipping point #open-source #competition

You nailed this! What a great idea. I want to see the amalgamation of MS, QR, Scanlife, and Jagtag. Why couldn’t printed collateral have multiple tags leading to the same content. It may have to happen until the format war is over.
i-nigma has multiple formats it can read. I think the problem is MS’s is propriatary, and they won’t licence it out. How lame. If they want anyone to use it, it have to be freely accesable.
Maybe the answer isn’t to create an amalgamation of codes, but to create a universal reader.
great post! Agree, it does make a lot sense to have universal readers and leaves a bad impression on the technology when the user has to install multiple apps for the same purpose. I recently wrote a blog about how qr codes could help print newspapers convert users to online -their response was that they use ms tags -which my qr reader couldn’t open without installing another app
